Oppo Pad 6 launches with Dimensity 9500s, 12-inch screen, 10,420 mAh battery

The Oppo Pad 6 Just Landed: A 144Hz Screen and Massive Power to Match

Oppo’s latest event in China wasn’t just about the new Reno16 series phones. They also pulled back the curtain on the Oppo Pad 6, a tablet that seems determined to prove you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a high-end experience.

A Display Built for Productivity

First things first: the screen. We’re looking at a 12.1-inch LCD panel that hits a crisp 3000×2120 resolution. But the real star here is the 7:5 aspect ratio. It feels much more like a physical book or a notepad than the narrow screens we usually see, making it perfect for multitasking, split-screen work, or just reading long articles.

For those who value smoothness, the 144Hz refresh rate ensures everything from scrolling through social feeds to sketching feels incredibly fluid. Plus, with a peak brightness of 900 nits, you won’t be squinting if you decide to take your work to a sunny cafe.

Under the Hood: Dimensity Power

Inside, Oppo opted for the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. It’s paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which is plenty of muscle for gaming or juggling dozens of apps. It’s also one of the first tablets we’re seeing ship with Android 16 (layered with ColorOS 16), keeping you on the cutting edge of software from day one.

  • Battery: A massive 10,420 mAh cell that should easily last through a weekend of light use.
  • Charging: 67W wired charging to get you back to 100% without the long wait.
  • Audio: A six-speaker setup that promises some serious punch for movies and music.

Sleek Design and Availability

Oppo kept things impressively slim—the Pad 6 is just 5.99mm thick. It comes in two classic finishes: Space Gray and Galaxy Silver. While it skips the fingerprint sensor, the overall build quality feels premium and professional, weighing in at just under 580g.

Right now, the Pad 6 is on pre-sale in China. The entry-level 8/256GB model is starting at an early-bird price of CNY 4,099 (~$603), which is a nice discount off the regular retail price of CNY 4,299 (~$632). While there is no word on a global release yet, this is definitely a tablet to keep an eye on.
