Amazfit Balance 3 & Titanium Ultra: New Buttons, Better Battery, and More
Amazfit Elevates the Game with the New Balance 3 and Rugged Balance Ultra
Just when we thought the original Balance series had hit the sweet spot for fitness enthusiasts, Amazfit has returned to shake things up. The brand just pulled the curtain back on its latest heavy hitters: the Amazfit Balance 3 and the first-ever Balance Ultra. These aren’t just minor refreshes; we’re looking at brighter screens, more physical controls, and a sophisticated new training ecosystem.
Brighter, Tougher, and More Tactical
The first thing you’ll notice about the Balance 3 is the screen. It features a stunning 1.5-inch OLED display protected by ultra-durable sapphire glass. But the real headline is the visibility—peak brightness has been cranked up by 50%, reaching a massive 3,000 nits. Whether you’re running under the midday sun or navigating a trail, clarity shouldn’t be an issue.
Amazfit has also listened to feedback regarding usability. Both watches have gained extra physical buttons. The Balance 3 now sports four buttons in total (adding two to the left side), while the Ultra goes a step further with five. If you’ve ever tried to navigate a touchscreen with sweaty hands mid-workout, you’ll appreciate the tactile control.
The Balance 3: A Solid Step Up
While the Balance 3 maintains the impressive 21-day battery life of its predecessor, it gets much more efficient where it counts. The dual-band GPS system now lasts up to 41 hours in ‘Accuracy Mode,’ a significant jump from the 33 hours seen on the Balance 2. Under the hood, it’s a bit beefier too, with a 51.4mm diameter and a slightly thicker profile to accommodate the upgraded hardware.
Currently available in a sleek stainless steel finish, the Balance 3 is built for the elements. With a 10 ATM water resistance rating, it’s ready for everything from open-water swimming to free diving down to 45 meters. A titanium version is also expected to join the lineup shortly.
Balance Ultra: The New Performance King
If you need maximum endurance, the Amazfit Balance Ultra is the one to watch. Encased in premium titanium, the Ultra is slightly larger and thicker than the standard model, but it uses that extra space wisely. It packs a 780mAh battery that delivers up to 30 days of typical use or a staggering 50 hours of continuous high-accuracy GPS tracking.
Beyond the battery, the Ultra is a powerhouse for data and media. It comes with 64GB of onboard storage—plenty of room for offline maps and your favorite workout podcasts—and features the latest BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor for high-precision health monitoring.
A Smarter Way to Train: HYROX and HybridCharge
Amazfit is positioning these watches as the ultimate companions for “Hybrid Training.” As the official partner of the HYROX indoor fitness competition, the new series offers specialized race simulations, virtual pacing, and structured preparation plans designed specifically for those grueling multi-discipline events.
The software experience is tied together by the HybridCharge system, which tracks three key pillars:
- BioCharge: Monitors your body’s current energy levels and recovery.
- LifeLoad: Tracks the mental and physical stress of your daily life outside the gym.
- Training Load: Measures the physiological strain of your workouts.
Pricing and Availability
The Amazfit Balance 3 in stainless steel is available now starting at £370. The upcoming titanium version will retail for £450. For those who want the best of the best, the Amazfit Balance Ultra is priced at £600 and comes bundled with both a synthetic leather and a silicone strap to suit both the office and the gym.
