OnePlus Turbo 6X Series: A 7,000mAh Powerhouse is Arriving Soon

If you’ve been tracking the rumor mill lately, you know the buzz around the OnePlus Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro has been reaching a fever pitch. After popping up on TENAA and the Google Play Console, we finally have some concrete news to share. OnePlus China President Li Jie has officially weighed in on the launch timeline, and a fresh set of leaked specs gives us a very clear picture of what to expect.

Replying to a curious user on Weibo, Li Jie confirmed that the OnePlus Turbo 6X series will make its grand debut in China before June 18. This puts the launch right in the heart of the mid-year shopping season, so expect the official hype machine—complete with posters and teaser videos—to kick into high gear any moment now.

The OnePlus Turbo 6X recently made an appearance on TENAA, revealing a familiar design language.

What’s Under the Hood?

While we are still waiting for more details on the ‘Pro’ variant, tipster Experience More has spilled the beans on the standard Turbo 6X. It looks like OnePlus is aiming for a balance of smooth performance and incredible endurance. According to the leak, the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset.

On the visual side, the Turbo 6X is tipped to sport a 6.72-inch LCD screen. While some might miss OLED, OnePlus is making up for it with a snappy 144Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution, which should make scrolling and gaming feel incredibly fluid.

Cameras and Build Quality

For the photographers out there, the handset is expected to carry a 50MP OV50D primary rear camera, supported by a 2MP depth sensor for those portrait shots. For selfies and video calls, you’ll find an 8MP camera tucked away on the front.

The build seems practical and sturdy, featuring a plastic frame and an IP64 rating for better-than-average dust and splash resistance. It also keeps things convenient with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone weighs in at 208 grams and maintains a relatively slim profile at 8.5mm, especially considering the monster battery hiding inside.

The Endurance King

The real headline here is the battery life. OnePlus is reportedly packing a massive 7,000mAh battery into the Turbo 6X. To help top it off, it supports 45W fast charging. While it’s not the fastest charging speed in the OnePlus arsenal, the sheer capacity means you likely won’t be reaching for that cable nearly as often as you do now.

With a launch date set for the coming weeks, it won’t be long before we see how this endurance-focused mid-ranger stacks up against the competition.
