Samsung’s Upcoming Galaxy M67 Appears on Geekbench with a Familiar Face
It looks like Samsung is digging into its archives for its next mid-range release. A mysterious new device, identified as the SM-M676K and widely expected to be the upcoming Galaxy M67, has just popped up on Geekbench. What’s most interesting isn’t just that the phone exists, but the surprising choice of processor powering it.
According to the benchmark listing, the device is running on the Exynos 2200. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because it was Samsung’s flagship chipset back in 2022, famously powering the Galaxy S22 series and later making a comeback in the Galaxy S23 FE. Seeing this chip in an M-series phone is a bit of a curveball, to say the least.

For those who need a quick refresher, the Exynos 2200 is a 4nm chip that features a 1+3+4 CPU architecture, topping out at a 2.8GHz clock speed. It was also a big deal when it launched because of its Xclipse GPU, which utilized AMD’s RDNA2 architecture and brought hardware-accelerated ray tracing to mobile gaming for the very first time.
Performance and Software Expectations
So, how does this “older” silicon hold up today? The Galaxy M67 hit 1,589 points in the single-core test and managed a solid 3,923 in the multi-core department. The benchmarked unit was packed with 8GB of RAM and, interestingly, appears to be running on Android 17, likely skinned with Samsung’s One UI 8.5.

Usually, the Galaxy M-series acts as a close sibling to the A-series, often sharing a good portion of their DNA. However, the M67 might be taking a slightly different path. Given that these phones are typically the go-to choice for buyers in India and other key Asian markets, this hardware decision could signal a push to deliver premium-tier performance at a more accessible price point.
