Moto G37 and G37 Power become official with different-sized batteries
Motorola Expands the G-Series: Meet the Moto G37 and the Massive 7,000mAh G37 Power
Motorola has been on a tear lately. While the high-end Razr foldables might be hogging the spotlight, the company hasn’t forgotten about the reliable workhorses that many of us actually carry. Alongside their flagship reveals, Motorola just pulled the curtain back on two new budget-friendly contenders: the Moto G37 and its battery-heavy sibling, the Moto G37 Power.
These aren’t just minor spec bumps; they represent a serious push toward durability and longevity in the affordable segment. Here is a closer look at what these two new devices bring to the table.
The Standard Moto G37: Smooth and Sturdy
The base Moto G37 is built for users who want a smooth daily experience without breaking the bank. It features a 6.67-inch LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring that animations and scrolling feel fluid. What’s particularly impressive is the build quality—it’s protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and carries a MIL-STD-810H durability rating, meaning it can handle more than a few accidental bumps.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the G37 comes with 4GB of RAM and storage options up to 256GB (which is expandable via microSD). It runs Android 16 out of the box and is kept alive by a 5,200 mAh battery with 20W wired charging.
The G37 Power: For the Battery Obsessed
If you’re the type of person who suffers from low-battery anxiety, the Moto G37 Power is likely your new best friend. While it shares most of the DNA of the standard model, it swaps in a gargantuan 7,000 mAh battery. To help fill that massive tank, Motorola bumped the charging speed to 30W.
The Power model also offers a bit more muscle under the hood with an 8GB RAM configuration available. Interestingly, it also supports 6W reverse wired charging, allowing you to use that massive battery to juice up a pair of earbuds or a friend’s phone in a pinch.
Design, Cameras, and Extra Features
Motorola continues its partnership with Pantone, offering these phones in a range of eye-catching colors including Capri, Nautical Blue, and Fuchsia Red. Despite being budget-focused, they didn’t skimp on the essentials:
- Photography: You get a 50MP main camera for crisp shots, though the standard G37 sometimes includes an extra 8MP ultrawide depending on your region.
- Audio: Audiophiles will be happy to see stereo speakers and the survival of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
- Protection: Both phones carry an IP64 rating, making them resistant to dust and the occasional splash of water.
Whether you need a durable daily driver or a battery beast that can go days without a charge, these new G-series additions offer a lot of value without the flagship price tag.
