Huawei MatePad Air & FreeClip 2 S: What to Expect Before the Launch
Huawei Expands Its Lineup: New MatePad Air and FreeClip 2 S Coming Soon
The countdown is officially on. With the Pura 90 series global launch just around the corner, Huawei has pulled back the curtain on two more devices joining the main event. While the Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max have been stealing the headlines, these new additions to the ecosystem are definitely worth keeping an eye on.
The New MatePad Air
First up is a refreshed version of the MatePad Air. From the latest teasers, we’re looking at a sleek aesthetic available in pink, white, and blue. The design language keeps things clean, featuring a distinct pill-shaped camera cutout and full support for both a stylus and a keyboard cover, signaling that this is aiming to be a solid productivity companion. We’re still waiting for the finer details on how it stacks up against the 2025 model, but the refined look alone has already piqued our interest.
FreeClip 2 S: A Stylish Audio Refresh
For the audio enthusiasts, Huawei is introducing the FreeClip 2 S. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because these debuted in China as the “Collector’s Edition” of the original FreeClip 2. The most immediate change you’ll notice is the updated, dome-shaped charging case, which adds a bit of flair compared to the standard model. You can also expect a few new colorways to match the refreshed look. Under the hood, the performance remains consistent with the regular FreeClip 2, which impressed us earlier this year with its unique design and solid audio chops.
We’ll be watching closely as these devices make their way to the global stage next week. Stay tuned for our full coverage of the event.
