New certification listings from the UAE’s TDRA and the global SGS database have revealed a new sibling in the lineup: the Honor X7e Plus 5G. This move signals that Honor is ready to bring its high-capacity battery tech into the 5G era for budget-conscious users.
Global Availability on the Horizon
While the initial news comes out of the UAE, the SGS certification suggests Honor isn’t stopping there. We can likely expect this model to land in the European Union and Saudi Arabia shortly after its official debut. It’s a classic move from Honor—securing the paperwork across multiple regulatory bodies before making a major regional splash.
What Changes with the “Plus” Branding?
At the moment, specific hardware specs for the Plus model are still under wraps. However, the jump from 4G to 5G usually implies a chipset upgrade. The standard 4G version runs on the MediaTek Helio G81, which is a solid budget performer but lacks 5G modem capabilities. We expect the “Plus” to feature a Dimensity or Snapdragon equivalent that brings those faster network speeds to the table.

Whether the “Plus” moniker refers strictly to the 5G connectivity or if Honor plans to bump up the screen resolution or camera sensors remains to be seen.
