Xiaomi unveils Smart Band 10 Pro, Watch S5, Buds 6, Sound Play speaker

Xiaomi Expands Its Ecosystem: A Closer Look at the Smart Band 10 Pro, Watch S5, and More

While the tech world was buzzing about the new 17T series today, Xiaomi quietly dropped a whole new lineup of wearables and accessories that might just steal the spotlight. From a super-bright fitness tracker to a speaker that looks like it belongs in a sci-fi movie, there is plenty to unpack. If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your wrist game or your portable audio setup, here’s the lowdown on the latest gear.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro: Brighter and Sleeker

First up is the Smart Band 10 Pro. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because it has been making waves in China as the Mi Band 10 Pro for about a week. For the global market, it keeps the ‘Smart Band’ branding but retains all the high-end specs that make it a standout.

Visually, it hasn’t changed drastically from the previous generation, keeping that familiar 1.74-inch display. However, the real magic is in the brightness. It now peaks at a massive 2,000 nits, making it significantly easier to read under direct sunlight compared to the 1,200 nits on the older model. It’s also thinner and lighter at just 21.6g, yet it still houses a 350mAh battery that can last up to 21 days on a single charge. Plus, Xiaomi has overhauled the health sensors with a new dual-light PD sensor for more accurate sleep and heart rate tracking.

Watch S5: The Battery King

If you prefer a traditional watch aesthetic, the Xiaomi Watch S5 is the clear winner. It’s the successor to the Watch S4, and the upgrades are actually meaningful. We’re looking at a 1.48-inch AMOLED touchscreen wrapped in a premium stainless steel frame.

The headline feature here is the battery life. Xiaomi managed to cram an 815mAh battery inside while actually shaving 1mm off the thickness compared to the previous model. That translates to roughly 21 days of juice—a significant jump from the 15 days offered by the S4. It also features dual-band GPS and 5ATM water resistance, making it a solid companion for hikers and swimmers alike.

Xiaomi Buds 6: Lossless Audio on the Go

On the audio front, the Xiaomi Buds 6 are targeting those who take their music seriously. The big upgrade here is the 11mm triple-magnet driver and support for Qualcomm aptX lossless audio. With bitrates hitting up to 2.1 Mbps (up from 1.2 Mbps on the Buds 5), your playlists are going to sound significantly richer.

They’ve also introduced what they call a ‘biomimetic curved design.’ In plain English, they’ve reshaped the buds to fit the natural contours of your ear better, which helps with long-term comfort and noise isolation. Speaking of isolation, the active noise cancellation (ANC) has also been refined to handle environmental chatter more effectively.

The Xiaomi Sound Play: A Budget-Friendly Party Starter

Finally, we have the Xiaomi Sound Play. This little speaker packs 18W of output and is built for the outdoors with an IP68 rating. What really sets it apart, though, is the design. It features an ambient light ring at the bottom and an ‘infinity mirror’ light in the bass chamber that gives it a premium, futuristic look.

  • TWS Pairing: You can pair two of these for true stereo sound.
  • Auracast Support: Xiaomi claims you can connect up to 100 devices simultaneously.
  • Portability: It offers 14 hours of battery life and weighs only 415g.

Pricing and Availability

Xiaomi is keeping things competitive as usual. The Smart Band 10 Pro starts at €80 and goes up to €100 for the Ceramic Edition. The Watch S5 is positioned at €179, while the Buds 6 come in at €120. If you’re looking for a portable speaker, the Sound Play is a total bargain at just €50.
