Hands-On: The vivo X300 FE Urban Olive Is a Fresh Take on Flagship Design

Following its global debut last month, the vivo X300 FE has officially landed in India, and it brought a little something extra for the local market. While Noir Black and Lilac Purple are stunning in their own right, the star of the show here is the Urban Olive colorway—an India-exclusive finish that we finally got to see in person.

The retail experience remains consistent across the board, with a package that includes a high-quality protective case color-matched to the phone’s unique green hue.

A Closer Look at the Urban Olive Finish

The “FE” in X300 FE stands for Fashion Edition, and it’s clear vivo took that naming seriously. The Urban Olive back panel uses a Metal Sand AG (anti-glare) glass finish. It feels incredibly smooth but, more importantly, it does a fantastic job of hiding those annoying fingerprint smudges that usually plague glass-back phones.

Depending on how the light hits it, the shade of green shifts subtly. It’s a deeper, more sophisticated tone compared to the “Victory Green” found on the X300 Ultra. It feels modern, slightly rugged, and definitely stands out in a sea of boring black slabs.

Display and Durability

On the front, you’re greeted by a 6.31-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display. With a crisp 2,640 x 1,216 resolution, the colors pop, and the scrolling is butter-smooth. Protection-wise, vivo went with Schott Xensation Core glass to handle the occasional tumble.

The Camera “Visor” and Build Quality

Flip the phone over, and you’ll see the horizontal camera module stretching across the width of the device. This “visor” design isn’t just about looks; it helps the phone stay perfectly stable when you’re using it on a desk or table. No more annoying wobbling while typing!

Inside that module, you get a powerful trio:

The aluminum frame has a matte finish that perfectly matches the Urban Olive back. It feels solid and premium, and because the X300 FE is relatively compact, it’s a breeze to use with one hand. The volume rocker and power button have a satisfying clickiness to them, adding to that overall sense of high-end craftsmanship.
