The Google Pixel 11 arrives with Tensor G6 and faster charging

The Google Pixel 11 continues to straddle the line between flagship and mid-ranger. It has the new Google-designed Tensor G6 – more on that in a second – which also powers the new Pro models. However, it has a more basic display and a triple camera with stripped-down hardware compared to said Pros.

The Tensor G6 is the second generation Google chipset to come out of the TSMC fabs – specifically, this is the first smartphone chip to be built on TSMC’s 2nm node. Google focused on optimizing power usage, though it promises performance gains too.

The G6 chip is paired with 12GB of RAM. Starting this generation, the base storage is 256GB, up from 128GB last year – this also means that we wave goodbye to UFS 3.1 (it belongs in the past, but there are no 128GB UFS 4.x storage options).

The vanilla model sports a 6.3” display, making it a small phone by today’s standards. This is also the size chosen by its main rivals, the iPhone 17 and the Galaxy S26. Anyway, it’s another 1080p+ LTPS OLED panel as Google skips upgrading it yet again.

The phone is powered by a 4,985mAh battery, which should last 30 hours of regular usage. This is all thanks to better efficiency as the 2025 Pixel 10 had a 4,970mAh battery. Google also boosted charging speeds – wireless charging with Pixelsnap chargers is 25% faster than on the 2025 model. Using a wired charger, the battery can get to 55% in 30 minutes.

There is some good news: Google used a small 1/2.0″ sensor for the vanilla Pixel 10, which is now gone. While the Pixel 11 doesn’t have a 1/1.3″ sensor like the Pro model, it still features a larger 48MP 1/1.56″ sensor. This is joined by a 13MP ultra-wide with a 120° lens (f/2.2) and a 1/3.1″ sensor. It is the third module, the 5x 10.8MP telephoto camera, that sets this apart from mid-rangers (and the iPhone 17, which only has a dual-camera setup). The selfie camera is unchanged, a 10.5MP module with an ultra-wide 95° autofocus lens. One upgrade – in terms of usability, if not image quality – is that Google found a way to slim down the “camera visor” on the back.
