Samsung Galaxy A54 receives One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update

Samsung Galaxy A54 receives One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update

Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 Beta 2 to the Galaxy A54: What’s New?

Samsung is keeping the momentum going. After rolling out the second One UI 8.5 beta to its flagship S23 series and newer mid-rangers like the A35 and A36, the update is finally hitting the fan-favorite Galaxy A54. If you’ve been testing the early software, this latest build brings some much-needed polish to the experience.

The update, carrying firmware version A546EXXUJZZD9, clocks in at roughly 500MB. While it’s not a massive overhaul, it focuses on ironing out the kinks that often plague early beta versions.

The Highlights: What’s Fixed?

Beta testing can be a bumpy ride, but this second release aims to smooth things over. According to the changelog, Samsung has addressed several performance hiccups that users were reporting:

  • Bluetooth Reliability: Fixed a frustrating bug where the Bluetooth auto-scan failed to trigger when opening settings.
  • Camera Stability: Under-the-hood tweaks to ensure the camera app is more stable and less prone to crashes.
  • Quick Panel Refinements: Resolved an issue where adjusting your brightness or volume sliders would stutter or get interrupted.
  • Direct Voicemail: The feature is now optimized to use the Samsung TTS (Text-to-Speech) engine by default for better consistency.

How to Get the Update

At the moment, the rollout has been spotted by users in India who are enrolled in the One UI beta program. If you’re already part of the test group, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

For those not yet in the beta, remember that this is still pre-release software. While these fixes make it more stable for daily use, it’s always a good idea to back up your data before hitting that install button. With the beta expanding this quickly, a stable public release might be closer than we think.
