Samsung Galaxy A27’s full specs surface, new renders reveal more colors
Samsung Galaxy A27 Leak: New Renders, Colors, and Full Specs Revealed
Samsung’s Galaxy A-series has long been the go-to for anyone wanting a reliable smartphone without the flagship price tag. While the Samsung Galaxy A27 isn’t officially launching until the second half of 2026, the rumor mill is already working overtime. We’ve seen glimpses of it before, but a fresh batch of leaks has just given us our clearest look yet at what Samsung is cooking up.
Fresh Colors and a Familiar Design
Leaked renders from OnLeaks show the Galaxy A27 in a trio of clean, modern finishes: Light Pink, Blue, and Black. The design stays true to Samsung’s current aesthetic—minimalist, sleek, and comfortable to hold. If you’re a fan of the uniform camera rings on the back, you’ll be happy to see that look is sticking around for another generation.
Under the Hood: Snapdragon Power and a Surprising Omission
According to leaked press materials from MyMobiles, the Galaxy A27 will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. It’s expected to ship with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. However, there’s a bit of a catch that might disappoint long-time fans: it looks like Samsung is ditching the microSD card slot for this model. If you need more space, you’ll have to rely on the cloud or spring for the higher storage tier at launch.
On the software side, the A27 is slated to run Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 right out of the box. While we don’t have the exact number of years for software support yet, Samsung usually treats its A-series quite well in terms of updates.
Cameras: Is Less More?
The camera setup on the Galaxy A27 is a bit of a mixed bag on paper. On the back, you’ll find a solid 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens.
Interestingly, both the ultrawide and the 12MP selfie camera have lower megapixel counts than the previous Galaxy A26. But before you get discouraged, remember that megapixels aren’t everything. Rumors suggest that despite the lower resolution, the new selfie sensor is actually an upgrade that should produce better overall image quality and better low-light performance than its predecessor.
Display, Battery, and Build
Expect a vibrant 6.7-inch FullHD+ display. While the specific panel type hasn’t been officially confirmed in the latest leak, it’s a safe bet that Samsung will stick with a 120Hz AMOLED screen—anything less would be a major surprise for this lineup.
Keeping the lights on is a beefy 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W charging. While it’s not the fastest charging on the market, it’s a proven formula that generally gets users through a full day and then some. In terms of physical footprint, the A27 measures roughly 162.4 × 78.2 × 7.8 mm and weighs in at 200g, making it a substantial but manageable device.
While we still have a while to wait for the official debut, the Galaxy A27 is shaping up to be a polished, albeit slightly controversial, addition to the family. Between the refined colors and the upgraded processing power, it’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
