Samsung Galaxy A27 stars in new renders inside some cases
Samsung Galaxy A27 Leaks: A Modern Glow-Up for the Mid-Range Favorite
Earlier this month, Samsung piqued our interest by officially confirming that the Galaxy A27 is on the way. While we had already seen some early CAD-based renders floating around, a new set of case leaks has just surfaced, giving us our clearest look yet at what to expect from Samsung’s next mid-range contender.
Consistent Design Language
If you’ve been following the recent releases of the Galaxy A57 and A37, the A27’s design won’t come as a massive shock. Samsung is leaning heavily into a unified look this year. The leaked renders show off a familiar oval-shaped camera island housed in the same top-left position, with the LED flash sitting neatly right beside it. It’s a clean, cohesive aesthetic that makes the device feel like a true member of the 2025 Galaxy family.
Farewell to the Notch
Perhaps the most exciting upgrade for budget-conscious buyers is the display. For years, the lower-end models in the A-series have been stuck with the somewhat dated V-shaped waterdrop notch. According to these latest renders, those days are finally over. The Galaxy A27 appears to be adopting a modern hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. It’s a small change that makes a huge difference in how premium a phone feels in the hand.
Under the Hood: Specs and Software
While design is the headline here, we’ve also got a pretty good idea of what’s powering this device. Recent Geekbench scores suggest some solid mid-range performance:
- Processor: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC
- Memory: 6GB of RAM (likely with higher configurations available)
- Operating System: Android 16 (right out of the box)
- Camera: Rumors point toward a significant upgrade for the front-facing sensor
By bringing a more sophisticated look and updated internals to the A27, Samsung is clearly trying to bridge the gap between its entry-level offerings and its higher-end mid-rangers. We don’t have a firm release date yet, but with the volume of leaks increasing, an official launch shouldn’t be far off.
