OnePlus N6’s charging speed officially confirmed, chipset revealed by Geekbench
OnePlus N6 Charging Specs Revealed Ahead of June 30 Launch
The countdown is officially on for the OnePlus N6. With the big reveal set for June 30, the company is slowly pulling back the curtain on its new N Series smartphone. We’ve already had a sneak peek at the device’s design, and OnePlus recently dropped a major hint about its endurance: a massive 8,000 mAh battery. Now, we finally have the details on just how quickly that battery will power up.
In a recent update shared by OnePlus India on X, the company confirmed that the N6 will feature 45W SuperVOOC charging. According to their tests, a quick 5-minute charge is enough to squeeze out about 1.7 hours of video playback. The promotional video also dropped an interesting hint about potential reverse wired charging support, though details on how that will function for other devices remain a bit of a mystery for now.
While OnePlus is keeping the full spec sheet under wraps until the official launch, a mystery device labeled CPH2955—widely believed to be the N6—has made an appearance on Geekbench. These benchmarks give us a clearer picture of what’s happening under the hood.
What the Benchmarks Tell Us
The Geekbench listings reveal that the CPH2955 is running on Android 16 and features 6GB of RAM. The real engine here is MediaTek’s octa-core MT6835 processor. By analyzing the clock speeds—specifically the two Cortex-A76 cores hitting up to 2.4GHz—we can confirm it’s powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset. It’s a solid mid-range setup paired with six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores.
As for the performance numbers, the device pulled in a single-core score of 788 and a multi-core score of 2,029. While these aren’t flagship-shattering numbers, they suggest a reliable, capable device for everyday use.
With more than a week to go before the full announcement, it’s a safe bet that OnePlus will drip-feed us a few more teasers before the final event. Stay tuned to see if they have any more surprises in store for the new N Series.
