New Redmi Note 17 series leak details vanilla, Pro and Pro Max specs, includes images
The Redmi Note 17 Series is Dropping Soon: What We Know So Far
It looks like Redmi is skipping the Note 16 lineup entirely, jumping straight to the Redmi Note 17 series, which is set to make its big debut later this month. The rumor mill is already working overtime, suggesting we’ll see four distinct models: the Note 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and the 17R. While official confirmation is still pending, leaked specs are painting a wild picture of what’s coming next.
The base Redmi Note 17 is rumored to sport a flat 6.83-inch 1.5K display and, depending on which report you trust, either a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 or a 6s Gen 4 chipset. The real head-turner here? A massive 9,000mAh battery paired with 67W fast charging and a 50MP primary camera.

Pro and Pro Max Upgrades
The Pro model appears to be shifting its focus toward performance consistency, with reports suggesting it will also house that impressive 9,000mAh battery and a 50MP lens. The spotlight, however, belongs to the Pro Max. This premium model is reportedly packing the Dimensity 7500 chipset, an upgraded 200MP camera, and an absolutely gargantuan 10,100mAh battery. All signs point to a flat 1.5K OLED display across the board, giving the entire series a uniform, modern aesthetic.
Software and Performance
On the software front, these devices are expected to launch with HyperOS 3.1 out of the box, running on Android 16. Expect standard perks like stereo speakers to remain, though details on the “R” variant remain under wraps for now.
To put things in perspective, the outgoing Redmi Note 15 series topped out at much smaller battery capacities—ranging between 5,500mAh and 6,600mAh. If these rumors hold up, the leap to 9,000mAh and 10,000mAh+ capacity would be a massive turning point for the mid-range smartphone market.
We are keeping a close eye on the official launch event to see which of these leaks translate to reality. Stay tuned as we track the latest in Xiaomi’s upcoming hardware release.
