Lava Bold N2 5G is here with a 6.75-inch screen and a 6,000mAh battery

Lava Bold N2 5G: A Big Battery Upgrade for the Budget Crowd

Following the release of its 4G sibling back in February, Lava is officially bringing 5G to the table with the new Lava Bold N2 5G. This isn’t just a simple modem swap, though. The Indian brand has packed in a massive battery and a fresh chipset to give budget-conscious buyers a bit more muscle for their money.

Smooth Visuals and Modern Performance

One of the first things you’ll notice is the 6.75-inch LCD display. While it sticks to an HD+ resolution, it makes up for it with a 120Hz refresh rate—a feature that makes scrolling through social feeds and navigating the UI feel much smoother than the standard 60Hz screens often found at this price point. At the top, you’ll find a classic waterdrop notch housing a 5MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Bold N2 5G runs on the 6nm octa-core Unisoc T8200 SoC, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which should handle daily tasks and light gaming quite well.

The Powerhouse: 6,000mAh Battery

The real headline here is the battery. Lava bumped the capacity up from the 5,000mAh cell found in the 4G model to a beefy 6,000mAh battery. For users who hate being tethered to a wall, this should easily translate to multi-day usage. When you finally do run low, it supports 18W fast charging via USB-C.

Camera and Build Quality

In terms of photography, the phone features a 13MP main rear camera housed in a clean, square module alongside an auxiliary lens and LED flash. It’s a straightforward setup designed for capturing everyday moments without too much fuss.

Despite the large battery, Lava managed to keep the thickness to 8.75mm, though it does have a bit of heft at 210g. The phone is also built to handle a bit of life’s accidents with an IP64 rating, providing decent protection against dust and splashes.

  • Software: Runs on Android 16 right out of the box.
  • Security: Convenient side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
  • Connectivity: Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, and a dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion.
