Oppo Sets the Date: Reno16 Series Heads for Global Launch
It wasn’t long ago that Oppo teased a partnership with K-pop sensations BABYMONSTER, hinting that the Reno16 series was making its way to international markets. While that initial announcement grabbed plenty of attention, it left us hanging without a specific date. Now, the company has officially confirmed that the wait is nearly over: the Reno16 series is set to debut on June 25.
If you’re eager to get your hands on one, Thailand and Spain will be the first countries to see the release, with a wider rollout to additional markets expected to follow shortly after.
Design Meets Personality
Oppo is leaning heavily into a fresh aesthetic this time around with its “3D Pop Planet Design.” The company describes the look as a bold blend of cosmic visuals, intended to represent each user as their own unique “vibrant little planet.”
Ling Liu, Oppo’s overseas CMO, weighed in on the philosophy behind the hardware: “As Reno continues to evolve, we are focused on creating smartphones that combine powerful technology with individuality and creative expression. The Reno16 Series reflects this vision through its distinctive design language and new creative experiences. We are also excited to welcome BABYMONSTER as the new Reno ambassador as we begin the next chapter of Reno’s global journey.”
What Should We Expect?
While we know the launch date, the finer details remain a bit of a mystery. It’s widely expected that the global versions of the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro will differ from the models launched in China back in May. Whether those changes are minor hardware tweaks or something more substantial, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
