Apple’s Q2 results are out, iPhone 17 lineup is the most popular ever
Apple’s Q2 Results Are In: The iPhone 17 Is Officially a Smash Hit
Apple just pulled the curtain back on its financial results for the quarter ending March 28, and the numbers are staggering. The tech giant posted a massive $111.2 billion in revenue—a 17% jump compared to the same time last year. If there was any doubt about the staying power of the iPhone 17 lineup, these results just put it to rest.
CEO Tim Cook didn’t hold back his enthusiasm, noting that this was Apple’s strongest March quarter to date. It wasn’t just a fluke, either; the company saw record-breaking performance from both the iPhone and its Services division, which hit an all-time high.

Breaking Down the Numbers
While the top-line revenue is the headline, the details reveal even more about Apple’s current dominance. CFO Kevan Parekh highlighted that the company generated over $28 billion in operating cash flow. In a chat with the Financial Times, Parekh suggested that the iPhone might have even expanded its market share over the last few months.
The star of the show is clearly the iPhone 17 family. This year’s roster is more diverse than ever, featuring the standard iPhone 17, the Pro and Pro Max models, the budget-friendly iPhone 17e, and the ultra-sleek iPhone Air.

The iPhone 17e has played a key role in expanding Apple’s reach this quarter.
A Global Growth Story
Apple’s revenue stream is looking incredibly healthy across the board. Total product revenue reached $80.2 billion, while Services brought in a cool $31 billion. The iPhone alone accounted for $57 billion of that pie. What’s perhaps most impressive is that iPhone sales saw double-digit growth in major markets like the US, Western Europe, India, Japan, Greater China, and Southeast Asia.
Here is a quick look at how the other segments performed:
- Mac: $8.4 billion
- iPad: $6.9 billion
- Wearables, Home, and Accessories: $7.9 billion
It’s clear that the strategy of diversifying the iPhone lineup—particularly with the introduction of the iPhone Air and the 17e—is paying off. With Services continuing to grow and the iPhone 17 proving to be their most popular cycle yet, Apple is heading into the second half of the year with massive momentum.
