Samsung Galaxy A27 and Redmi 17 4G Hit Certification Ahead of Launch

Samsung Galaxy A27 and Redmi 17 4G Clear Key Certification Milestone

It’s a busy week for smartphone enthusiasts as two of the most anticipated budget-friendly devices have just moved a step closer to their official launch. The Samsung Galaxy A27 and the Redmi 17 4G have appeared in Singapore’s IMDA database, signaling that the paperwork is finished and the retail release is imminent.

Samsung Galaxy A27: What’s Under the Hood?

We’ve been tracking the Galaxy A27 for a while now. Following a series of leaked renders that gave us a good look at its design, the phone recently made its way through Geekbench. The latest certification confirms what we expected: a full suite of connectivity features including 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

For those interested in performance, the Geekbench listing points toward the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Paired with at least 6GB of RAM, this should offer a solid, snappy experience for daily tasks and moderate gaming—a nice step up for Samsung’s A-series. We are looking at a reliable daily driver that doesn’t compromise on essential modern connectivity.

Redmi 17 4G: Skipping a Generation?

Xiaomi is also making moves with the Redmi 17 4G. In a slightly confusing turn for those following the numbering system, the brand appears to be skipping the “16” moniker entirely, jumping straight from the Redmi 15 4G to the 17. While it focuses on the 4G market, it isn’t skimping on the basics, featuring NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth right out of the gate.

According to previous FCC filings, Xiaomi is going big on variety. The Redmi 17 4G is expected to arrive in a whopping six different configurations:

  • 4GB RAM / 128GB Storage
  • 6GB RAM / 128GB Storage
  • 6GB RAM / 256GB Storage
  • 6GB RAM / 512GB Storage
  • 8GB RAM / 256GB Storage
  • 8GB RAM / 512GB Storage

This level of storage flexibility is a major win for budget-conscious users who need extra space for photos and apps without the premium price tag. With both devices now clearing regulatory hurdles, it’s only a matter of time before we get official pricing and regional availability details.
