RedMagic 11S Pro series arrive with overclocked SD 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, 11S Pro gets boosted battery

RedMagic 11S Pro Series Debuts: Overclocked Speed and Massive Batteries

Just when you thought gaming phones couldn’t get any faster, RedMagic has pulled the curtain back on its latest flagship duo in China: the RedMagic 11S Pro and 11S Pro+. While they might look familiar at a glance, these devices pack some serious under-the-hood upgrades that will make any mobile gamer lean in.

Overclocked Performance: The ‘Leading Version’ Edge

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version. If that sounds like a mouthful, here is the bottom line: the prime cores are pushed to a blistering 4.74GHz. This is the same high-performance tier previously seen in exclusive flagship variants, and it’s designed to handle the most demanding mobile titles without breaking a sweat.

To back up that raw processing power, RedMagic isn’t skimping on memory:

  • RedMagic 11S Pro: Features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
  • RedMagic 11S Pro+: Steps things up with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and a massive 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The 8,000mAh Battery Milestone

One of the most impressive tweaks is the battery capacity on the standard 11S Pro. It now houses a massive 8,000mAh Si-C battery. While it sticks to 80W wired charging, that much capacity means you can stay in the game significantly longer.

The 11S Pro+ takes a different route, prioritizing speed over pure size. It keeps a 7,500mAh cell but boosts the charging to 120W wired and 80W wireless. Both models support bypass charging, allowing you to power the phone directly from the wall during long sessions to protect the battery’s health and reduce heat.

Cooling and Hardware for Pros

Keeping an overclocked chip cool is no small feat. The 11S Pro+ features a sophisticated dual-cooling setup that includes a 24,000 RPM physical fan and a pulsating liquid cooling system. The standard 11S Pro keeps the high-speed fan but skips the pulsating liquid tech. Remarkably, both phones maintain an IPX8 water resistance rating, which is almost unheard of for devices with internal fans.

Gamers will also appreciate the return of the 520Hz capacitive shoulder triggers and, yes, the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack.

Immersive 144Hz Display

On the front, you’re looking at a stunning 6.85-inch BOE X10 AMOLED display. With a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, everything from UI navigation to competitive gaming feels butter-smooth. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, ensuring visibility even in direct sunlight. Plus, thanks to the 16MP under-display selfie camera, there’s no notch or punch-hole to distract you from the action.

Camera and Software

While gaming is the priority, the camera setup remains solid. You get a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter for close-ups. On the software side, the devices ship with RedMagic OS 11.5, which is built on the latest Android 16.

Pricing and Availability

Available in ‘Silver Wing’ and ‘Dark Night’ finishes, the series is currently launching in China with the following price points:
