OnePlus Nord CE6 in for review
OnePlus Nord CE6: First Impressions and Unboxing
OnePlus is on a roll lately, and the new Nord CE6 is the latest evidence. Sliding into the lineup alongside the Nord CE6 Lite, this mid-range contender follows hot on the heels of the more premium Nord 6 launch from last month. If you’ve been looking for that sweet spot between flagship features and a sensible price tag, this might be the one to watch.

Let’s start with the unboxing. Thankfully, OnePlus isn’t following the trend of ‘diet’ packaging. Opening the box is a refreshing trip back to when you actually got everything you needed. You’ll find the phone, a protective case, the signature cable, and a beefy 80W charger. It’s a small but significant win for consumers who don’t want to go hunting for extra accessories on day one.
Familiar Design, Unmatched Durability
Visually, the Nord CE6 shares a lot of DNA with its older sibling, the Nord 6. The dimensions are nearly identical, so the real way to tell them apart is the camera module. The CE6 goes for a cleaner, more streamlined look with one less lens on the rear. It’s available in three sophisticated finishes: a subtle Blue, a shimmering Pearl, and a classic Black.

Where this phone really punches above its weight is the build quality. This isn’t just a pretty face; it’s built like a tank. OnePlus has loaded it with every IP rating imaginable—IP66, IP68, IP69, and even the high-pressure IP69K. It has even passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade testing. If you’re prone to accidental drops or caught in the rain, the CE6 is designed to survive the chaos of daily life.
High-End Display and a Massive Battery
On the front, you’re treated to a gorgeous 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, the same panel found on the more expensive Nord 6. Everything feels fluid, whether you’re scrolling through social feeds or playing games. Powering the experience is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, with OnePlus promising smooth 144fps gaming in optimized titles.

However, the real headline here is the battery. Tucked inside is a staggering 8000mAh cell. That is massive for a modern smartphone, and it even supports reverse charging to help out a friend in a pinch. For photography, you get a solid 50MP main camera with dual-axis OIS and 4K video, while the 32MP selfie camera also supports 4K and includes autofocus—a feature often skipped in this segment.
The OnePlus Nord CE6 officially goes on sale May 7. We’re currently putting that monster battery to the test, so keep an eye out for our full, deep-dive review coming very soon.
