Fresh reports suggest that the upcoming Pixel 11 series will feature the Google Tensor G6, making it the very first smartphone to hit the market with a 2nm chipset. By choosing TSMC’s cutting-edge process, Google is effectively beating major rivals like Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Apple to the punch.

Timing plays a massive role here. While industry giants like Qualcomm and MediaTek aren’t expected to roll out their latest 2nm-capable hardware until September, Google is getting a head start with an official launch event for the Pixel 11 lineup set for August 12.

A Long-Awaited Modem Upgrade

Beyond the raw speed of the Tensor G6, the Pixel 11 series is set to solve one of the most common complaints among power users: connectivity. Recent FCC filings for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold confirm long-standing rumors that Google is officially parting ways with Samsung’s Exynos modems.
