Is the Honor Magic V6 Worth the Price Tag?

The Honor Magic V6 has officially landed in Europe, but it has brought a pretty hefty price tag along with it. Currently, you can snag it for €1,700 or £1,500—but that offer is fleeting. By August, the EU price is set to climb to €2,300, and those UK vouchers aren’t exactly infinite. To soften the blow, Honor is bundling a free Honor Pad 10 and a two-year screen protection plan, yet for many buyers, the steep entry cost remains a significant barrier.

We recently ran a poll to gauge the community’s interest, and the results were effectively split down the middle. About 25.3% of you are ready to jump in at the current price, while an almost identical 25.5% are holding out for a better deal. Given the current climate in the smartphone and PC markets, it’s safe to say that significant price drops aren’t coming anytime soon.

Competition in the Foldable Space

It’s important to look at the bigger picture: nearly a quarter of our voters aren’t interested in foldables at all, which makes the interest level in the Magic V6 surprisingly resilient. That said, the competition is heating up. Roughly 15% of respondents are already looking at other book-style foldables like the Oppo Find N6, the vivo X Fold6, and the Motorola Razr Fold. Interestingly, even with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra hype, it didn’t make much of a splash in our discussion threads.

The Availability Hurdle

Price isn’t the only concern, though. Plenty of users pointed out that the Magic V6 isn’t available everywhere yet, even in regions where Honor has a strong presence. Plus, European buyers are currently limited to the 512GB model, leaving those who want the full 1TB experience out in the cold.
