Samsung’s Q2 2026 Earnings: A Staggering Surge

If you’ve been following the tech world, you know Samsung usually moves the needle, but their latest earnings guidance for the second quarter of 2026 is nothing short of historic. Looking at the numbers for April through June, the company is projecting a massive KRW 89.4 trillion ($58.8 billion) in profits alongside KRW 171 trillion ($112.5 billion) in total revenue. To put it mildly, these results are rewriting the record books.

Consolidated Figures (K-IFRS)
(in trillion won) 2026 Q2 (Guidance) 2026 Q1 2025 Q2
Sales 171 133.87 74.57
Operating Profit 89.4 57.23 4.68

To grasp the scale of this growth, consider this: Samsung’s combined profits for the entire three-year period prior to this were KRW 82.87 trillion. That means they’ve outperformed their own three-year cumulative profit in just a single quarter—by about KRW 6.53 trillion. Compared to the same period last year, we are looking at a 19-fold increase in profits and a 129% spike in revenue.

The driving force behind this financial juggernaut is clearly the Device Solutions division. As the demand for high-end semiconductors continues to skyrocket, Samsung’s focus on DRAM, NAND, and HBM chips for the global AI sector is paying off in a major way. With AI companies hungry for more processing power, this momentum shows no signs of cooling down.

We’ll get the full deep dive into the specifics when Samsung releases their comprehensive Q2 report on July 30. Until then, these early estimates prove that the semiconductor industry is more vital—and more profitable—than ever.
