Apple Pushes Out iOS 27 Developer Beta 3: What’s New?

Apple is keeping the momentum going with the release of the third developer beta for iOS 27, landing exactly two weeks after the previous build. If you’re part of the Apple Developer Program, you can head over to your Settings app right now to grab build number 24A5380h.

While the usual round of bug fixes and stability improvements is front and center, this update isn’t just about polishing the rough edges. Apple has tucked in a few noteworthy features that give us a better look at where the software is headed:

  • New Siri Voice: Compatible devices are getting an updated voice option for Siri, offering a fresh sound for your digital assistant.
  • Live Recognition: The Camera app now includes a new Live Recognition feature, which looks to make identifying objects and text in real-time even more seamless.
  • Refined UI: Apple has refreshed the Reminders app icon and added a slick new swipe-down animation for wallpapers, adding a nice bit of flair to the system UI.

As is standard with early testing phases, there are still some known bugs to navigate. If you’re curious about the technical specifics or want to check if your current setup might be affected by specific quirks, you can check out the official release notes directly from Apple.
