Samsung’s Galaxy M47 Has Officially Landed in India

As many of us suspected, Samsung has officially pulled the curtain back on the Galaxy M47 in India today. If you’ve been keeping an eye on the Galaxy A27, you’ll notice a lot of familiar DNA here—but Samsung has added just enough under the hood to make the M47 stand out as its own beast.

Big Battery Life for Power Users

The real headliner here is the massive 6,000mAh battery. Not only is it a capacity upgrade, but it also brings 45W wired charging to the table. Even better? Samsung included a clever ‘bypass charging’ feature. If you’re plugged in while gaming, the power skips the battery and goes straight to the internals. It’s a total game-changer for keeping things cool during long sessions.

Display and Performance

Up front, you’re looking at a vibrant 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. It hits that sweet spot with an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, all kept safe under a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. Tucked into a neat punch-hole cutout sits a 12MP selfie camera.

Galaxy M47 hardware

Under the chassis, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip keeps things snappy. You can configure it with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the back, you get a reliable triple-lens setup: a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide for your landscapes, and a 2MP macro lens for those tight shots.

Software Longevity

Samsung is shipping the M47 with One UI 8.5 on top of Android 16. Perhaps more impressive is their commitment to longevity: they are promising a full six years of both Android OS upgrades and security patches. That’s a serious amount of support for a phone in this price tier.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy M47 is launching in two eye-catching finishes: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue. The entry-level 6/128GB model starts at INR 22,999 (roughly $243). If you’re looking to grab one, sales kick off on July 4 via Amazon India.
