Samsung Galaxy S27 Series: The Pro Model Is Officially in the Works

It seems like the rumor mill was right all along. Following the initial discovery of the standard Galaxy S27 (model SM-S925U) in the GSMA’s IMEI database earlier this month, the rest of the family has finally stepped out of the shadows. We now have confirmation that the lineup is expanding, and yes, the long-speculated Galaxy S27 Pro is officially on the table.

Alongside the flagship trio, the database entries highlight three distinct models that solidify Samsung’s upcoming 2027 strategy:

  • Galaxy S27+: Identified as model SM-S956U.
  • Galaxy S27 Ultra: Listed as model SM-S958U.
  • Galaxy S27 Pro: Confirmed under model number SM-S957B/DS.

Seeing the ‘Pro’ listed in an official database is the strongest signal yet that Samsung is ready to shake up its standard release pattern. If the leaks hold up, the Pro is shaping up to be an intriguing middle ground—essentially a more compact version of the Ultra, minus the S-Pen stylus. Early reports suggest it will pack a 6.47-inch display, feature the advanced Privacy Display technology we first saw on the S26 Ultra, and house a surprisingly robust 5,000 mAh battery.

With four distinct models now confirmed, Samsung is clearly aiming to cast a wider net when the series officially drops in early 2027. Whether you want the absolute powerhouse of the Ultra or the sleek, high-end performance of the Pro, it looks like Samsung is trying to make sure there’s a perfect fit for everyone’s pocket. We’ll be keeping a close eye on these model numbers as more certification details emerge.
