Nothing Lifts the Veil on the Upcoming Phone (4b)

After a string of tantalizing design sketches, Nothing has finally pulled back the curtain on its next budget-friendly contender: the Phone (4b). In a crisp video shared across their social channels, the company treated fans to a first real-world look at the device, specifically showcasing a fresh, light blue colorway.

If you have been following the brand, the design language here feels like a familiar evolution. The handset rocks a dual-camera setup tucked into a prominent, rectangular island. You’ll spot a vertical LED light bar hugging the right side—a clear nod to the Phone (4a)—alongside a separate, pill-shaped cutout that hosts the flash and autofocus sensors. It’s that signature, slightly industrial, “Nothing” look that fans have come to love.

A few design flourishes stand out, too. The camera module sports a cool, textured finish that adds a bit of depth, and all the physical buttons come in a sharp black finish, providing a nice contrast against that light blue casing. Flipping to the front, you’ll find a centered hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. While the top and sides look sleek, the bottom “chin” bezel is definitely a bit chunkier, which is something we’ve come to expect from more budget-conscious hardware.

Mark your calendars: the Nothing Phone (4b) is officially set to hit the stage in India and select international markets on July 7. Under the hood, rumors point to a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, which should keep things snappy for daily tasks without breaking the bank.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this stacks up when it officially lands. Are you liking the new look, or were you hoping for something a bit more radical?
