The Honor 600 Smart: Big Battery, Rugged Build, and a Questionable Display

Honor has quietly expanded its 600 series with the new Honor 600 Smart, a device clearly built for those who prioritize battery life and durability over raw screen fidelity. While it sits within the broader 600 family, it carves out its own niche by ditching the slim aesthetic for a ruggedized, power-packed chassis.

Massive Power and a Tough Exterior

The standout feature here is undoubtedly the massive 7,700mAh battery. To put that in perspective, it outlasts both the standard Honor 600 and the 600 Pro by a significant margin. Honor claims this handset can handle up to 28 hours of continuous video streaming or an impressive 93 hours on a single charge. When you eventually run low, the 45W fast charging should get you back up to speed.

It’s also built to take a beating. The phone boasts a Swiss SGS Premium Performance certification, meaning it’s rated to handle drops from 2.5 meters and can withstand being submerged in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. If you’re known for being a bit clumsy with your tech, this might just be your new best friend.

A Large—But Low-Res—Canvas

At 6.87 inches, the LCD panel on the Honor 600 Smart is expansive. However, there’s a trade-off: the resolution sits at a modest 720 x 1,592px. On such a large screen, the pixels might be more visible than users accustomed to higher-density displays would prefer. That said, it manages a respectable 1,020 nits of peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility.

Performance and Internals

Under the hood, you’ll find the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. It’s a capable 4nm chip with 5G connectivity, though it definitely isn’t designed to compete with the powerhouses in the higher-end 600 models. The inclusion of 4GB of RAM is a bit tight for modern multitasking, even with the “RAM Turbo” feature that uses storage to emulate extra memory. Rounding out the specs is 128GB of non-expandable storage.

Camera and Extras

While we are still waiting for a deep dive into the full camera suite, the primary rear sensor is a 50MP shooter capable of 1080p recording. It’s a step up from the base-level sensors seen in budget siblings like the Honor Play 80 Plus. Additionally, the device comes with stereo speakers featuring a 400% volume boost mode, and—in true 2026 fashion—a dedicated AI button.

Currently, the Honor 600 Smart is listed as “coming soon” on Honor’s French site. While pricing hasn’t been confirmed, it is expected to hit the market through the carrier SFR. Stay tuned for updates as this battery beast hits retail shelves.
