OnePlus Pad 3 Pro unveiled in China with 13.2″ 144Hz LCD, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
OnePlus Pad 3 Pro Debuts: A Performance Powerhouse with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Keeping track of OnePlus tablet releases lately has felt a bit like a puzzle. With various versions of the Pad 3 and Pad 4 floating around different markets, it’s easy to get confused. But now, there’s a new heavy hitter to pay attention to: the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro, which just made its grand entrance in China.
A Display Built for Work and Play
This Pro model is anchored by a massive 13.2-inch LCD screen. With a sharp resolution of 3,392 x 2,400px and a 7:5 aspect ratio, it’s designed to be as comfortable for multitasking as it is for binge-watching. The 144Hz refresh rate keeps everything feeling buttery smooth, while a 1,000-nit peak brightness ensures that your HDR content pops, even when things get bright.
For those who prefer a tactile experience, the tablet fully supports a stylus that can automatically turn your quick, messy notes into organized mind maps and tables. If you’re planning to do some serious typing, there’s an optional keyboard case available to turn this slate into a mini workstation. And when it’s time to clock out? The eight-speaker audio system provides a surprisingly immersive experience.
Under the Hood: Pure Power
The real headline here is the internals. The Pad 3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Compared to previous models like the Pad 2 Pro, this thing is a beast. We’re looking at a 20% bump in CPU performance and a 23% speed increase for the GPU, all while staying more power-efficient. It’s a massive leap forward, especially if you’re upgrading from a mid-range tablet.
To keep that power running all day, OnePlus packed in a massive 13,380mAh battery. The company claims it’s good for around 25 half-hour show episodes on a single charge. When you do eventually hit 0%, the 67W SuperVOOC charging gets you back in action fairly quickly.
Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is hitting the Chinese market in two distinct colors—Dark Brown and Light Green—and comes with a charger and cable in the box. You have three configurations to choose from:
- 12/256GB: CNY 4,400 (approx. $650 / €570)
- 12/512GB: CNY 4,900
- 16/512GB: CNY 5,400
As for a global release, we haven’t heard official word yet. However, given that the Pad 2 Pro eventually made its way to international markets, there’s plenty of reason to be optimistic. For now, it’s available through the official Oppo/OnePlus channels in China.
