Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Debuts: Are These Specs Too Familiar?

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Hits India: Massive Battery and Quad 50MP Cameras

Motorola is continuing its aggressive push in the Indian market, this time bringing the Edge 70 Pro+ to the spotlight. If the specs look a bit familiar, that’s because it’s effectively the global Edge 70 Pro rebranded for local fans. But don’t let the “rebadge” label fool you—this device packs some serious heat, especially for those who prioritize photography and endurance.

Design and a Brilliant Display

Style remains a big focus for Moto, and the Edge 70 Pro+ comes in three distinct Pantone-certified shades: Chicory Coffee (a rich brown), Zinfandel (a vibrant red), and Stormy Sea (a deep blue). It’s a looker, but the real star is the display.

You’re looking at a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel that’s both smooth and incredibly bright. With a 144Hz refresh rate, everything feels fluid, and the 5,200 nits peak local brightness ensures you won’t be squinting even under the harsh midday sun. Protecting all that glass is Gorilla Glass 7i, so it should handle daily wear and tear just fine.

High-End Performance and “Quad 50” Cameras

Under the hood, Motorola opted for the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. Paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage, it’s built to handle multitasking and heavy apps without breaking a sweat.

The camera setup is where things get really interesting. Motorola has gone all-in with high-resolution sensors across the board:

  • Main: 50MP Sony LYTIA-710 with OIS for crisp shots.
  • Telephoto: 50MP sensor with 3.5x optical zoom (81mm equivalent).
  • Ultrawide: 50MP for those expansive landscape shots.
  • Selfie: Another 50MP sensor tucked into the front punch-hole.

Long-Lasting Battery and Fresh Software

One of the most impressive specs is the 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. This is a massive capacity for a phone this sleek, and it supports 90W wired charging along with 15W wireless charging. You’re unlikely to run out of juice mid-day, but if you do, the recharge is snappy.

Software-wise, it ships with Hello UI based on Android 16. Motorola is also stepping up its update game, promising 3 major Android version jumps and 5 years of security patches. Plus, with IP68 and IP69 ratings, it’s basically built to survive accidental dunks and dust storms.

Pricing and Availability

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is launching with a single configuration—12GB RAM and 256GB storage—priced at INR 47,999. You can pick it up starting June 11 through Motorola’s official site and major retailers.
