OnePlus Turbo 6X Series: Massive Batteries and Leaked Specs Reveal What’s Coming
OnePlus fans, get ready. Just as we were settling in after the January launch of the Turbo 6 and 6V, it looks like the family is about to get even bigger. New listings on the Google Play Console and China’s TENAA certification have pulled back the curtain on two upcoming devices: the OnePlus Turbo 6X and the Turbo 6X Pro.
It seems OnePlus is on a mission to eliminate battery anxiety once and for all. If the latest leaks are anything to go by, these phones are designed to keep running long after most flagships have called it a day.
The OnePlus Turbo 6X: A 144Hz Mid-Range Contender
The standard Turbo 6X isn’t holding back on the basics. According to the certification details, we’re looking at a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen. While it’s an LCD rather than OLED, the 144Hz refresh rate is a huge win for anyone who values buttery-smooth scrolling and responsive gaming. Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC, paired with RAM options ranging from 6GB up to a solid 12GB.
- Battery: A beefy 7,000 mAh cell
- Camera: 50MP main shooter accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor
- Selfies: 8MP front-facing snapper
- Biometrics: Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
The Turbo 6X Pro: Stepping Up the Game
If the standard model sounds good, the Pro version is where things get really interesting. The Turbo 6X Pro swaps the LCD for a more premium 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a “1.5K” resolution. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, and for the power users and heavy multitaskers, it offers up to a massive 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The standout feature here is undoubtedly the 8,000 mAh battery. To put that in perspective, that’s tablet-sized capacity packed into a smartphone frame. You also get an under-display fingerprint sensor, a 50MP main camera, and an 8MP ultrawide lens to round out the photography experience.
Global Identities and Software
If these specs sound familiar, there’s a good reason. These phones are essentially the Chinese market equivalents of OnePlus’s global Nord lineup. The Turbo 6X is expected to be rebranded as the Nord CE6 Lite internationally, while the Turbo 6X Pro will likely launch as the Nord CE6. There might be some minor regional tweaks to the camera hardware, but the core DNA remains the same.
Interestingly, both devices are tipped to launch with Android 16 and ColorOS 16 right out of the box. With their launch in China approaching fast, it won’t be long before we see if these battery behemoths live up to the hype and how they perform in the real world.
