Itel A100 Pro goes official with a 6.6-inch display and a 5,000mAh battery
Itel A100 Pro: High-End Vibes on a Budget Budget
Itel has just expanded its A-series lineup in India with the debut of the Itel A100 Pro. While it’s firmly positioned as an entry-level device, it’s clearly punching above its weight class when it comes to aesthetics. If you take a quick glance at the Comet Orange version, you might mistake it for an iPhone 17 Pro—and that’s exactly the kind of premium flair Itel is aiming for at a fraction of the cost.

Display and Design
The first thing you’ll notice is the 6.6-inch LCD display. It’s got an HD+ resolution, which is standard for this price point, but it earns extra points for the 90Hz refresh rate. That higher refresh rate makes scrolling through social feeds and navigating the UI feel much smoother than your average budget phone. While the bezels are a bit on the thicker side and there’s a classic waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, the overall build feels modern and sturdy.
Speaking of sturdy, Itel has surprisingly included MIL-STD-810 durability certification. This means the phone is built to survive the occasional drop or harsh environment, a rarity for devices in the sub-₹10,000 category.

What’s Under the Hood?
Powering the Itel A100 Pro is the octa-core Unisoc T7100 chipset. It’s paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If that sounds a little light for your media library, don’t worry—there’s a dedicated microSD card slot so you can expand the storage easily.
One of the highlights here is the software. It ships with Android 15 Go Edition, a lightweight version of Android designed specifically to keep entry-level hardware running fast and efficiently. Itel has also added a “Dynamic Bar” feature, which mimics the functionality of a dynamic island, showing notifications and status updates right around the camera notch.
Camera and Battery Life
On the back, you’ll find an 8MP main camera tucked into that iPhone-style plateau, supported by an LED flash. Flip it over, and there’s a 5MP snapper for your selfies and video calls. While it won’t replace a professional DSLR, it’s more than enough for quick social media snaps and scanning documents.

Keeping everything running is a beefy 5,000mAh battery. For a phone with these specs, that’s easily a full day of heavy use, or potentially two days for light users. It charges via USB Type-C at 10W speeds.
Extra Perks and Pricing
Itel didn’t skimp on the “little things” either. The A100 Pro includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking, an IR blaster (perfect for controlling your TV or AC), and the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, you’re looking at dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and reliable Wi-Fi.
The Itel A100 Pro is officially priced at INR 8,999 (roughly $95). You can pick it up in three distinct colors: Cloud White, Black, and the standout Comet Orange.
