Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ teased ahead of launch

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is Heading to India: Here’s What to Expect

The Motorola Edge 70 lineup is already looking pretty crowded, with the standard Edge 70, the Pro, the Fusion, and the Fusion+ all currently making waves. But if you thought Motorola was done, think again. The brand’s Indian branch has just teased the arrival of the big brother of the family: the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+.

Connecting the Dots

While Motorola’s official post on X didn’t explicitly name the device, the tech community didn’t have to do much detective work. A live promotional page on Flipkart basically spilled the beans, with the URL itself confirming that the Edge 70 Pro+ is the star of the show. If you’ve been keeping an eye on the global market, this design might look familiar. The teaser reveals a look identical to the global Edge 70 Pro in the stunning Pantone Zinfandel finish.

Filling the Spec Gap

Why is this ‘Plus’ model a big deal for Indian consumers? It mostly comes down to what was left out of the standard Indian Edge 70 Pro. To recap, the Indian version of the Pro model lacked wireless charging and that coveted periscope telephoto lens found in the global edition.

The upcoming Pro+ looks set to bridge that gap. We’re expecting the return of high-end features like:

  • Wireless Charging Support: No more fumbling with cables.
  • Pro-Grade Optics: A dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto unit featuring 3.5x optical zoom and a 50X “Super Zoom Pro” mode.
  • Portrait Mastery: Flipkart has already confirmed the phone will be capable of shooting portraits at an 85mm focal length, perfect for that natural bokeh and professional compression.

Style and Substance

Motorola isn’t just focusing on the internals; they are leaning hard into premium aesthetics. The Flipkart leak highlights three distinct finishes that should give the phone a very tactile, high-end feel:

  • A smooth Satin-luxe finish.
  • A textured Twill-inspired finish.
  • A unique Sculpted Wood finish for those who miss the classic Moto Maker vibes.

We’re still waiting on the official launch date and final pricing, but with Flipkart already setting up the landing pages, it’s safe to say an official announcement is just around the corner. If you’ve been holding out for a Motorola flagship that doesn’t compromise on the camera or charging tech, this might be the one to wait for.
